The nation’s first-ever Halal Restaurant Week opens December 9 in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The virtual event brings together local favorites and features an array of cuisines and restaurants.
Order curb-side pickup, takeout and no-contact delivery with URBAN HALAL.
We've put together a list of 30 restaurants that are participating in the event.
This virtual festival is covid-friendly and all of the vendors are observing rules such as social distancing.
*Please note that indoor dining may no longer be available depending on county/city ordinances.*
Expect promotions from five restaurants each day with 10-15% off promos, or free dessert deals, or buy-one-get-one- 50% off deals.
Many of these dishes have become a common place in the U.S. culinary landscape.

Halal means “permissible” and refers to food that is prepared according to Islamic dietary guidelines.
“As a Muslim who’s lived in quite a few places, I’ve never seen such a cool initiative like this. This is an opportunity to really bolster enthusiasm around supporting the businesses of our beloved brothers and sisters, to bring communities together via food, and to raise the bar for delicious halal food.” says Yasmeen Rasheed, a member of The Bay Area Halal Foodies.
Food is at the center of bringing people together. Halal Restaurant Week is about embracing a rich tradition and showcasing the diversity through food.
It's also about community and supporting local businesses that have become institutions in their own right.
